I’m Mohammad Golam Hossan Farhan, a dedicated professional with nearly a decade of experience in technical sales, business development, and project coordination within Bangladesh’s construction and infrastructure sector.

My journey began with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, followed by an MBA in Marketing from the University of Dhaka—a combination that empowers me to blend technical precision with strategic business acumen.

Career Path & Contributions

My early career started at Anwar Ispat Ltd & Anwar Cement Ltd., where I gained essential technical support and business development experience.

I then moved to Eastern Cement Industries Ltd., rising to the position of Assistant Manager, where I focused on expanding business operations and delivering technical support.

As Senior Business Development Officer at KSRM Steel Plant Ltd., I played a key role in transforming major infrastructure projects—such as the Patukkhali Coal-Based Power Plant, Hazrat Shahjalal Airport (Terminal-3) expansion, Metro Rail Line-06, Gondhorbpur Water Treatment Plant, Ghorashal Palash Urea Fertilizer Factory and more—into successful sales outcomes. This role enhanced my expertise in customer management and client engagement across public and private sectors.

In my position as Assistant Manager, Technical Support at GPH Ispat Ltd., I guided high-profile national projects including Cox’s Bazar Airport runway extension, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge, Dhaka–Sylhet Corridor Road Investment Project, Payra Port Jetty, Andermanik River Bridge, Metro Rail Line-06 extension , kewatkhali bridge, Japanese Economic Zone, SASEC-II and more. My responsibilities included quality assurance, technical documentation, and organizing seminars to elevate GPH’s reputation in the market.

Following that, I served as Specification Consultant at Hilti Bangladesh, where I advanced project conversions using cutting-edge solutions like mechanical anchoring, chemical anchoring, and post-installed rebar technologies. During this tenure, I also received specialized technical training on chemical anchoring, mechanical anchoring, and passive fire safety at Hilti Asia Pacific, Singapore. Additionally, I contributed to several iconic commercial projects in Bangladesh, including Dhaka Tower by Shanta, Mirai by Nirman, and Grand Hyatt by Meghna. My role also involved organizing technical seminars and providing design support through Hilti PROFIS Engineering Software.

My Current Role

Currently, I am working at Akij Ispat Ltd as Deputy Manager – Specification. In this strategic role, I am responsible for:

• Developing and managing technical specifications to strengthen the positioning of Akij Ispat’s products in the market.
• ⁠Building bridges between key stakeholders such as PWD, MES, LGED, MIST, BUET, AUST and other institutions, ensuring stronger collaboration and alignment with national infrastructure goals.
• ⁠Serving as both a solutions advisor and specification expert, bridging the gap between technical requirements and client needs.
• ⁠Collaborating with contractors, engineers, developers, and consultants to deliver specification-driven value with precision and clarity.

Besides my current role, I also guide Freehold Construction & Development as a Business Development Consultant for their rebar coupler solutions and pile base grouting services.
